1. Aargh, cracking plastic.
When screwing cooling fans onto the back of your case, the screw holes are ridge-less. There are no grooves for the 4 screws to wind into. This is because the special screws that come with the fan make the grooves themselves once you drive them into the holes. A lot of people ask questions about this and whether or not insertion of the screws will cause the plastic to crack - it won't. Just go for it and ignore the grinding of soft plastic. It's all part of the procedure.
2. Which graphics card?
nVidia graphics cards are mostly named with similar model numbers (for example 8400GS, 9800GT). Don't get fooled by the common presumption that the higher the number, the better the graphics card. You may think that the cheap $30 card on Amazon is within Call of Duty 4's system requirements because it's above 6600 and below 9800, but it's not. _________________ used branded laptops |
